There’s plenty to see and do at Sacrewell, enjoy an array of educational and themed events throughout 2023.
With an abundance of fresh air, an award-winning play park and space to wander free there’s no better place to visit for a day out with the kids. Conveniently located just off the A47, set in 50 acres of gardens and grounds we are perfectly placed for visitors from near and afar.
Open daily from 9am- 4.30pm you can spend the day as you please – visit all our rare breed animals, enjoy a bite to eat in the Origin8 café, explore the small independent businesses in our artisan courtyard or why not burn off some calories in our indoor soft play – the ‘Playbarn’. Whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed.

AA Milne Weekend
14th-15th January
Celebrate AA Milne’s 141st birthday at Sacrewell. An English writer who was best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie the Pooh.
February Half Term
13th-17th February
Gather the whole family and head to Sacrewell for plenty of half term fun. Throughout 2023 each half term will follow a theme – February’s theme is birds.
Enjoy an array of free educational activities throughout the week. The activities will vary each day and are included in your normal daily admission.
Star Party
18th March
Peterborough Astronomical Society (PAS) are holding their biannual star party at Sacrewell this March. PAS are incredibly passionate about the night sky and educating people on how to identify a star and constellation.
Join them for an exciting evening of stargazing, planetarium presentations and much more!
Easter Holiday Event – New Life on the Farm
1st-9th April
In April, Spring will have officially sprung at Sacrewell. Join us for ten days of Easter holiday fun as we welcome new life on the farm.
Easter is one of our most popular events, witness wild birds hatching to lambs skipping through the fields. What’s more you will be able to watch our livestock team bottle feed the cade (orphan) lambs at 10am and 2pm each day. There’s never been a more joyous time to visit.
Enjoy plenty of sustainable Easter activities including:
- Easter story time
- Create a cardboard bird photo frame
- Self-led egg trail around Sacrewell and chocolate reward courtesy of Stamford Heavenly chocolates
- Create your own flower seed bomb
- Make a kite with our resident artist Djibo Art
- Plant a bean seed and watch it grow
To participate in all activities please purchase an Easter event ticket. Admission includes all day access to Sacrewell, so you can stay as long as you please!
May Half Term
29th May – 2nd June
Join us as we celebrate National Dinosaur Day at Sacrewell. Throughout May half term get hands-on with an array of dinosaur related activities.
The activities will vary each day and are included in your normal daily admission.
Summer Holiday Fun
24th July – 1st September
Schools out and Sacrewell’s 6 weeks of summer fun is in! We have plenty to keep the children (and adults) entertained, you won’t want to miss out.
Open every day 9am – 4.30pm. You can explore the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside, take part in our daily duck race, enjoy story time by the mill or beat your opponent at lawn games! Admission includes ALL DAY access to Sacrewell so you can stay as long as you please.

October Half Term – Halloween at Sacrewell
21st – 29th October
As Autumn takes hold of the land around us, we invite you to discover the many tricks and treats of Sacrewell.
Join us for our new interactive Halloween event at Sacrewell this October.
Experience Halloween like never before as you immerse yourself in our virtual reality headset experience. Enjoy a spooky sound and light show in an inflatable dome with 360-degree cinema. Spend the day exploring the ghastly ghost forest in the natural play area but beware of the gargoyles lurking in the darkness.
We can’t wait to take you on a bewitching journey around Sacrewell with enchanting Halloween props and a not-to-be-missed photo booth. Savour the memory to last a lifetime…

Christmas Event – Meet Santa at Sacrewell
9th & 10th, 16th – 24th December
Join us as we celebrate the festivities. Enjoy a magical family day out including a visit to meet Father Christmas in his traditional farmhouse.
