Falconry Day at Sacrewell
Following the wonderful feedback from their visit in May, we’re delighted to welcome Rutland Falconry back to Sacrewell for another fantastic Falconry Day on Saturday 12th September.
Meet a fascinating variety of birds of prey, learn more about these incredible animals from the expert falconry team and enjoy two live flying demonstrations throughout the day. Whether you’re a lifelong bird enthusiast or seeing these magnificent birds up close for the first time, it’s a brilliant day out for all ages.
What’s on
There’s plenty happening around the farm throughout Falconry Day. Here’s what you can look forward to:
10am–4pm – Falconry static display 🦅
Get up close to an incredible selection of birds of prey and learn more about these fascinating birds.
11.30am – Bird talk & feed in Animal Village 🐔
Meet our ducks and chickens and learn a little more about them at feeding time.
12pm – Falconry flying display 🪽
Watch these incredible birds take to the skies in our first live flying display of the day.
2pm – Duck Race – £1 per duck 🦆
Come and take part in our much-loved Duck Race! Choose your duck and watch it race down the Mill Stream to see who reaches the finish line first.
2.30pm – Falconry flying display 🪽
Another chance to see the birds in action during our second live flying display.
3.30pm – Pony Walk 🐴
Join our ponies for a walk around the farm and say hello along the way.
Throughout the day
Bird Trail 🔎
Pick up a trail sheet and see what you can discover as you explore the farm.
Falconry colouring 🎨
Head to the Craft Room for some bird-themed colouring.
Tractor rides 🚜
Hop aboard for a tractor ride around the farm (£2 per person).

Alongside Falconry Day, you’ll also be able to enjoy everything else Sacrewell has to offer. Meet our friendly farm animals, explore our indoor and outdoor play areas, discover our historic watermill and enjoy breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake in The Farmhouse Table.
Falconry Day is included with standard farm admission, making it the perfect day out for the whole family.
