Bat Walk

Bats are fascinating creatures; flying mammals which can consume thousands of insects in just one night. They can be useful to farmers by getting rid of insects that might otherwise damage the farm crops.

We’ve invited Antony from the Cambridgeshire Bat Group to come and lead a walk around the farm to see which species of bat we have living here. We’ll meet at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start, with an introductory talk before we head off around 8pm (as the sun sets) on our walk. The walk will take around an hour and will involve some uneven terrain. Well behaved, nature loving children are welcome to join us as long as they are able to complete the hour long walk.

This event is subject to suitable weather conditions and may be cancelled in the case of heavy rainfall or extremely high winds. Please dress appropriately, we recommend sturdy shoes and several layers of clothing to keep you cosy as the temperature drops after sunset. You may also wish to bring a small torch to help you find your way back to your car at the end of the event.

Tickets cost £6 per person and will include a donation to the Cambridgeshire Bat Group. We are restricted to 20 tickets for this event so please book online to secure your space.
