We have an amazing project coming up here at Sacrewell in Peterborough. We are excited to announce that Sacrewell and the William Scott Abbott Trust are embarking on a special project to restore some of our historic agricultural equipment, including hay rakes, push hoes, horse ploughs, and carts – all integral parts of Sacrewell’s rich heritage.

Event Details:
- Dates: 10th – 11th September
- Time: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Participants can roam the farm until close)
- Location: Sacrewell Farm, Thornhaugh, Peterborough, PE8 6HJ
- Max Participants: 20 per day so limited spaces!!
We are inviting local voluntary helpers with some DIY skills or skills in restoration, preservation, and conservation to join us in bringing these historic items back to life. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to preserving our heritage and ensuring these items can be enjoyed by the public for years to come. The restored items will also be showcased during our 60th-anniversary celebration at the end of September.
As a thank you, we would love to give our volunteer helpers free access to the farm throughout the day, plus tea and coffee with biscuits!
While we have a café on-site, you are also welcome to bring your own lunch to enjoy during your visit.
To register your interest please email Melissa our Charitable Activities Lead: volunteer@sacrewell.org.uk
Closing date for applications is 6th September 2024.
