Farmer’s Apprentice

Book your ticket

Get a taste of Sacrewell from the other side of the fence with this with this hands-on experience. You’ll help care for our animals and get involved in day-to-day farm tasks. You might be feeding a pig, mucking out a pony or grooming an alpaca. You could be fixing broken fencing or stacking supplies in our feed room. The very nature of farm life means that you really could be doing anything in your session, but we promise there’ll be lots of opportunities to take photos and make memories.

Throughout the session you and your child will have the chance to ask our experienced animal team questions and find out what it takes to be a farmer and why they are so passionate about what they do.

Our Farmer’s Apprentice session runs on Monday 22nd October from 10:00 -12:30. We are also running a Teen only session on Tuesday 23rd.

What’s Included:

  • farm tasks such as feeding the animals, mucking out and grooming
  • hands on experience and the chance to get inside our animal pens and paddocks
  • instruction from our experienced animal team
  • admission to the farm for the day for the participating child and one accompanying adult

This activity is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years old. Activities will take place in a variety of locations around the farm and involve walking across uneven terrain. Please contact us if you would like to discuss access needs to help you participate in this activity.
