Springtime on the Farm
Spring is one of the most special times of year at Sacrewell. Meet our adorable newborn lambs, watch live bottle-feeding demonstrations, and say hello to our playful goat kids – along with all our other friendly farm animals.
Make a full day of it with our various outdoor play areas, tractor rides (£2pp) and indoor soft play. And when it’s time to refuel, enjoy delicious food and drinks at The Farmhouse Table, our welcoming on-site café.
Live Blacksmith Demonstrations
Step back in time this Easter holidays and experience the craft of traditional blacksmithing right here at Sacrewell Farm!
9:00am – 3:30pm daily during the Easter holidays
Come and watch our visiting blacksmith hard at work using a traditional forge, hammer, and anvil to shape hot metal right before your eyes. It’s a fascinating craft that has been part of rural life for centuries.
During the day you can:
⚒️ See metal heated in the forge until it glows
⚒️ Watch it being shaped with hammer and anvil
⚒️ Learn how blacksmiths make everyday tools and objects
Did you know? Blacksmiths can create and repair things like:
• Horseshoes
• Farm tools
• Gates and hinges
• Decorative ironwork
• Household items such as hooks and brackets
Our blacksmith will be demonstrating the process live, explaining how the tools work, and answering any questions you have along the way.
Be sure to stop by the forge between 9am and 3:30pm to discover a traditional craft in action!
