Willow Weaving: Plant Support / Obelisk

In light of the current public health situation, this workshop has had to be cancelled. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

These willow structures look great in the garden, on the allotment or even in a pot on the patio.

They could offer support to your colourful climbers and runner beans; they can even be used in the house as a centrepiece for hanging photos and birthday cards.

Come and enjoy learning a few basic willow skills with an experienced tutor from Nene Coppicing and Crafts, in a relaxing environment.

Our Willow Weaving: Plant Support/Obelisk workshop will run from 9:30am to 1:30pm on Saturday 28th March. There are just 6 spaces available on this small group course, which costs £45 per person.

What’s included?

  • materials and tools to create your own willow plant support/obelisk
  • instruction in techniques from an experienced tutor
  • refreshments and home baking
  • admission to Sacrewell for the day for the ticket holder

This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 16 or above. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

The Nene Coppicing and Crafts workshop at Sacrewell is situated approximately 75m from our main entrance and has an uneven, cobbled floor. We may be able to offer a parking space closer to the workshop; please contact us by email if this is something you require.

Please note: Willow needs to be prepared in advance, so ticket sales for this workshop will end on Friday 20th March to enable the course tutor to soak enough willow for all participants.
