Come and have fun learning a few basic willow-weaving skills with an experienced tutor and produce a beautiful large willow dragonfly.
You will attach your dragonfly to a long willow rod, enabling it to ‘dance’ elegantly in the breeze. They look great over a pond, in a flowerbed or gently bobbing above a patio pot.
Our Willow Weaving: Large Willow Dragon Fly workshop will run from 9:30am to 1:30pm on Saturday 9th May. There are just 6 spaces available on this small group course, which costs £45 per person.
- materials and tools to create your own willow dragon fly
- instruction in techniques from an experienced tutor
- refreshments and home baking
- admission to Sacrewell for the day for the ticket holder
This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 16 or above. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
The Nene Coppicing and Crafts workshop at Sacrewell is situated approximately 75m from our main entrance and has an uneven, cobbled floor. We may be able to offer a parking space closer to the workshop; please contact us by email if this is something you require.
Please note: Willow needs to be prepared in advance, so ticket sales for this workshop will end on Friday 1st May to enable the course tutor to soak enough willow for all participants.
