Fancy a day out learning a new skill? Or perhaps you have done some willow weaving before and would like to create something a bit different?
Work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, learning several basic willow weaving techniques to create a beautiful, functional door stop. The doorstop is weighted with a large stone, on which you can write a message or a quote to make it into a very personalised gift. The small size of this group allows for each participant to work at their own pace, with 1 to 1 support where necessary.
Weaving of willow, hazel and oak has been happening in Britain since Roman times. In this workshop you’ll be using historical skills to create a modern, sculptural object.
Our Willow Weaving: Doorstop workshop will run on Saturday 7th December from 10:00am till 4:30pm. There are just 6 spaces available on this small group course, which costs £70 per person.
- materials for creating your personalised, willow door stop
