After our recent Playbarn inspection, Sacrewell and House of Play (the company who provide our semi-annual deep clean and inspections) have taken the decision to remove the junior area in the Playbarn (aged 3-5) as the equipment has reached the end of its safe-use lifespan. Although we are sad to be losing this part of the Playbarn, we now have the opportunity to review how we can best use this space.
The frame won’t be replaced immediately, as we need time to consider our options for the entire Playbarn for the next few years. In the short-term, we’ll simply add some additional seating and more toddler-friendly toys and games. For the long-term though, we’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can make the best use of the Playbarn to support our charitable aims, as well as providing a great visitor experience. Maybe you’d like to see the Playbarn change into a more hands-on animal space, or perhaps you’d like to see a sensory room installed.
