CANCELLED: Wildlife Weekend

**CANCELLED**

Thank you for your interest in our event. We’ve decided to cancel the wildife weekend due to the winter weather. Instead we’ll make sure there are self led winter themed activities. Please check our website and social media over the weekend before visiting, as these will be updated if we decide to close. Thanks for your understanding. Stay safe and warm!

We love the countryside and know that you do too. Come along to this event to find out how farming affects wildlife in the countryside and pick up some tips on how you can help wildlife at home too.

We’ll have pond dipping and bug hunting sessions and a wildlife trail for you to follow.

James from Froglife will be running a free family wildlife workshop in the afternoon on Sunday 4th. Get your ticket for this from reception on arrival as there are a limited number of spaces. The workshop will cover:

  • An introduction to wildlife friendly gardening
  • Group tasks to get you thinking about the steps you can take to improve your allotment for wildlife
  • The opportunity to learn some basic identification and surveying techniques for amphibians and reptiles
  • A take-home pack with handy leaflets and information designed to help you take simple steps to improve your plot for wildlife at home
  • Practical pond dipping

The RSPB will be doing a free talk on Sunday 4th and be available to chat about birds throughout the day.

Normal farm admission applies.
