Does your child know how long it takes to grow a carrot and where their eggs come from? Our staff and volunteers will help them to discover the answers to questions like these, whilst having lots of fun on the farm. Give them a breath of fresh air and a life long love of food, farming and the countryside.
Sacrewell Seedlings is our weekly club for 2 to 4-year olds, which offers toddlers the chance to learn about food, farming and its connection with nature.
We meet each Wednesday morning during term times and have outdoor experience whatever the weather, so expect to get wet and muddy.
Our autumn sessions will cost £36 per child for 6 sessions (no charge for accompanying adults) and includes access, for that child, to the farm for the morning. Enjoy a craft activity hunt for minibeasts and grow flowers, fruit and vegetables. Look after wildlife and play in our messy areas before finishing with rhymes and stories.#
Our sessions have been altered to comply with current government guidelines. We have reduced capacity and introduced separated playstations for children and their carers to explore. We ask that only one adult accompanies their children, supporting them to participate safely and follow social distancing guidelines.
Some of the themes we have explored in the last term include:
- Autumn berries
- Pond life
- Textures on the farm
