Does your child know how long it takes to grow a carrot and where their eggs come from? Our staff and volunteers will help them to discover the answers to questions like these, whilst having lots of fun on the farm. Give them a breath of fresh air and a life long love of food, farming and the countryside.
Sacrewell Seedlings is our weekly club for 2 to 4 year olds, which offers toddlers the chance to learn about food, farming and its connection with nature. We meet each Wednesday morning during term times, from 10am until 11:30am, and have an outdoor experience whatever the weather, so expect to get wet and muddy. Each session costs £7.50 per child (no charge for accompanying adults) and includes free admission to the farm, for that child, for the remainder of the day. There is a discount for those who pay in advance for the full half term block of sessions. Each session will have a variety of activities around a theme, as well as the possibility to explore our popular mud kitchen or spend some time relaxing in our story corner. The themes for the next block of sessions (September and October 2019) are:
- Autumn berries
- Pond life
- Textures on the farm
The next block of Sacrewell Seedlings sessions will start in September.
